Jonathan Rice is a passionate music teacher, youth music & theatre director, vocal coach, and co-founder of Rice Performing Arts. With over 7 years of experience, he’s dedicated to helping young people discover their voice, build confidence, and grow through the power of music. Whether in the classroom, on stage, or in private lessons, Jonathan brings energy, heart, and a deep belief that every student has a sound worth sharing.
HOMESCHOOL & ENRICHMENT CURRICULUM
Music with Mr. Rice is a dynamic, 30-lesson curriculum designed to make music education fun, accessible, and meaningful for 3rd through 5th grade learners. Whether used in a homeschool, co-op, or small group setting, this 6-month program introduces students to music history, global styles, creative expression, and foundational music skills — all through engaging activities that don’t require reading music!
Each lesson is intentionally crafted to spark imagination and deepen students’ appreciation for sound and culture. From Latin rhythms to African drumming, pop genres to medieval melodies, students explore how music connects to their world while developing their voice and ear. Perfect for non-music teachers, parents, and pod educators, this curriculum balances structure with creativity.
